Diwan Elementary School is an institution that molds learners to possess ability of an engaging education that fosters responsibility and the high spirit of pursuit of knowledge.This is an institution where teachers and partners have strong belief on the promise and potential of every learner.
Committed to achieving the goals of the Philippine education system,following the curriculum of MATATAG for Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 4 this SY 2024-2025 while Grades 2,3,5 will start using the revised K-12 for SY 2025-2026 and soon Grade 6 will also use the MATATAG Curriculum having the K-12 Curriculum and the MATATAG curriculum as its reference. The school records its progress and improvement which shows significant difference which are directly and indirectly brought by external and internal factors concerning the home environment and school environment of the learners.
As years goes, the school had brought its recognition as the 2017 , 2023 and 2024 Best School of Dipolog City Divison, (Small School Category ) and making it to the finalist level or Top 3 of The 2024-2025 Region 9 VINTA Awards,Those are the proofs which clearly stated that best services were given by this institution. Diwan ES has been bringing the Subanen culture as its base for the IP Subanen Program implementation. This institution is considered as the champion school in preserving the Northern Indigenous knowledge ,system and there practices . It can be labeled as a genuine IP Implementing School that recognizes the touch on involvement of the Northern Subanen IP people towards enriching the quality of education with the preserving and respecting the community peoples’ beliefs and way of life. Looking back at the track that Diwan ES had served its community on its 80th year of existence, we would regard it as years of success , blessings and splendor.
