School Profile

Cayasan Integrated School, located in Barangay Diwan, Dipolog City South District, serves as a key educational institution in a geographically remote area 24 kilometers from the city proper. With a total of 13 teachers—9 nationally funded and 4 locally funded—the school caters to learners from Kindergarten to Grade 8, most of whom are Indigenous Peoples (IP), particularly of Subanen descent. Despite limited infrastructure, including classrooms in need of repair and a lack of a functional library, the school maintains a strong commitment to quality education through regular SLAC sessions, INSET, and targeted interventions like home visitations and feeding programs.

The school has implemented several improvement projects, such as toilet repairs, new classroom buildings, and water supply initiatives, with support from the PTA, LGU, and DepEd. Health and safety are prioritized through regular deworming, immunization, and monitoring, although access to potable water remains a challenge. With a learner population that includes 4Ps beneficiaries and children with disabilities, Cayasan Integrated School continues to uphold inclusive and community-driven education.
