The Run for Autism: A Color Fun Run with a Cause, held on May 31, 2025, was a vibrant and meaningful event initiated by the Dipolog Federated PTA Officers in partnership with Growth Point. The activity gathered nearly 600 runners from across the province and neighboring cities, and was supported by 40 dedicated stakeholders. The presence of the City Mayor, who delivered an inspiring message, further amplified the advocacy for autism awareness, inclusion, and support for learners with special needs. Prior to the run, Special Needs Education (SNED) learners were warmly acknowledged and formally introduced, setting a powerful and emotional tone for the event.
The run was not only a celebration of fitness and fun but also a strong statement of solidarity with the neurodiverse community. Various stakeholders provided food and refreshments, adding warmth and generosity to the colorful morning. With the overwhelming support and participation from different sectors, the event was a resounding success—so much so that “Run for Autism” will now become an annual event to continuously promote neurodiversity and inclusive education in the community.
On May 23, 2025, a Partnership Building Strategies Workshop was successfully conducted at Mibang Hotel, Dipolog City, with participants coming from 47 schools across the division. The one-day capacity-building activity was attended by school heads and partnership focal persons and aimed to strengthen their skills in building and sustaining meaningful partnerships to support school improvement initiatives. Key highlights of the workshop included a comprehensive discussion on the 2025 Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines and preparatory activities, an orientation on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for schools, and an actual proposal writing session designed to enhance participants’ competence in developing well-structured, impact-driven project proposals. The workshop served as a platform for collaborative learning, innovation sharing, and practical application of strategies aligned with DepEd’s thrust on stakeholder engagement and resource mobilization.
